In the early 1830's, in a borrowed house, with a local preacher belonging to no circuit or district, J.W. Glenn organized the First Methodist Church in Gainesville with 15 members. Since that time, Gainesville First United Methodist Church's membership has grown to more than three thousand.  You are invited to visit the GFUMC website to learn more about our church.

Gainesville First United Methodist Church is located at 2780 Thompson Bridge Road, immediately north of the bridge as you leave Gainesville on Hwy 60.
